1. How long are the treatments?
Generally, my treatments are anywhere from 90 -120 minutes.
2. How often do you recommend massage?
Again, depending on a client’s needs and concerns it could be as much as once a week, or twice a month.
3. Should I eat before a massage?
It is recommended to eat 90 minutes before massage or steam treatments.
4. When is the best time for a massage?
I like to receive a massage after exercise. However, massage can be received at any time of the day. I would advise my clients to eat light and rest for the remainder of the day after the massage to experience the full therapeutic benefits of their treatment.
5. How do I get the oil out of my hair after a Shirodhara treatment?
The oils strengthen the hair and the hair follicles; so leave the oil on for a few hours, if possible, after treatment. When its time to shower do not wet your hair before applying the conditioner first. Spread the conditioner throughout your hair with your fingers then rinse with warm water. Apply shampoo and rinse, and then apply conditioner, again. Shampoo, rinse, repeat if necessary.
6. Are you registered?
Though I graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy (CCMH), I am not registered.
7. Do you have parking spots for patients?
Yes, there are parking spots right in front of my studio.
